   HENRY

This happy-go-lucky boy is just 2 years old.  He spent his life on the end of chain but several neighbors were able to persuade his owner to let Henry go to rescue.  He has never met a stranger and is a high-energy boy.  If you always wanted a Malamute who likes to play fetch, Henry is your dog!  He seems to do well with cats.

      ROOK

Rook is a long-haired boy who was given up by his elderly owner.  He is about 2 years old and would do well in agility.  The shelter who took him in kept him for a couple months until we had room; that's how much they like this handsome guy.  He will do well with an active owner.  Rook would do best as an only dog and cannot live with cats.  He walks nicely on leash and was housetrained.

                            GINGER

3-year old Ginger lived outside on a chain but was still given up by her owners when they had a baby.  She is good with cats, some male dogs, and of course absolutely loves people.

                        KODIAK

Kodiak is a 3-year old mellow boy who really enjoys his walks and playing.  He came to us from a back yard breeder in PA who had too many dogs.  He has been a good buddy to the CHAAMP pups.  He'd love to be a lap dog!  Walks nicely on leash.

               LISSA

Lissa is bi-lingual, as her first owner spoke Spanish.  Lissa is an energetic girl who requires plenty of exercise.   She is very strong-willed and loving.  She should probably be a single dog, although a mellow boy might work well with her.  She's one smart girl!  No cats.

                             KIRA

This girl is a lot of Malamute!  She is about 3 years old and has very good manners.  She loves to be brushed.  She gets along well with most large male dogs.  She will need an owner experienced with Malamutes as she tends to be very bossy.  She cannot live with cats or small dogs but enjoys spending time with people.  She weighs about 80 pounds.

                                     ORION

Orion is one of the rare Malamutes who tends to get along with almost all other dogs, including males.  He is very affectionate and mellow.  Orion is about 6 years old.

                     CHLOE

Chloe has just turned 2 years old.  She came to us from a couple owners who bred her every time they could.  She had three litters.  She is the mom of Nukka and Grant (now adopted) plus the 4 pups (Phil, Otis, Billy, Zach) now adopted), all of whom we had earlier in the year.  She looks little but is actually a standard-sized Mal, weighing 75 pounds.  Her coat is quite thin, which is typical with nursing moms.  It will come back quickly.

She looks sad and tired in the first pictures, which we took the first day we got her.  But now that she doesn't have to worry about her kids, she's acting like a puppy herself!  She really enjoys playing with Sunny and our new boy Apollo.
